City Hall
City Hall is the centrepiece of the centre of the city of Bradford, a magnificent Venetian style Victorian civic building with a clock tower modelled on the Palazzo Vecchio in Florence.
Designed by Lockwood and Mawson, the building was opened in 1873. The interior contains the city's main council chamber, and a grand banqueting hall (pictured above). There is also a courtroom and police cells, which now form part of a police museum.
Adjacent to the building is City Park with its "mirror pool" and dancing fountains.
