Lily Cove

Besides the Brontes, the village of Haworth is also famous for its associations with Lily Cove, who was one of the world's first parachutists.

Lily's usual performance involved jumping from a hot air balloon, though one such descent ended in disaster when she was killed while jumping at the Haworth Gala in 1906. Her body is buried in the graveyard of Haworth Church.
