The Leeds Liverpool Canal in Bronte Country
The Leeds Liverpool canal starts in Leeds and runs along the Aire Valley, taking in Shipley just outside Bradford, the industrial village of Saltaire, Hirst Woods, Bingley and Keighley before passing on to Skipton and Gargrave on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales.
The canal then passes through the Aire Gap and in to the eastern side of the Bronte Country area, passing though Colne and Burnley in Pendle en route through Lancashire towards Liverpool as its final destination.
